In the Kitchen, Planning

>T – 3 days

>I spent yesterday preparing for Thanksgiving. I normally would have done this a couple weeks ago, but we’re having a small meal this year- just us and a friend or two. I’m still making a very large bird but that’s because I’m going to visit my family between the holidays and I need to have the freezer meals to feed my husband so he’s not tempted to destroy my kitchen. Plus, turkey is a favorite of his and I don’t especially care for it, so when I do make it I usually make a lot.

The end result of my day of planning is:

Tomato Bisque (made ahead)
Homemade Carmelized Onion Dip and Chip (made ahead)
Cheesey Stuffed Mushrooms

Brined Herb Crusted Turkey and Apple Cider Gravy gravy

Baked Mashed Potatoes with Parmesan Crust (mixed ahead, baked day of)
Potato and Cheddar Biscuits
Apple and Sausage Stuffing
Cranberry Sauce

Homemade green bean casserole
Brussel Sprouts with Pancetta

Pumpkin Beignets
Chocolate Cream Pie
maybe a little apple tart for me
