>It’s amazing how choices change as you grow and mature.

Looking back, I can see that I gravitated towards things that came easily to me. Unfortunately, that resulted in not a whole lot of pushing when it came to my boundaries.

As I get back into classes in my registered dietitian program, I realize more and more that I knew this was a passion when I was in high school. But I was afraid of the math and science. I shouldn’t have been. It’s challenging, but I am entirely capable of handling it. Then or now.

Monkey has this funny combination of adventure and caution. I tell people he is a measured risk taker. How do you balance self-preservation and the reach for something new?

On a lighter note, the severe weather that’s been pummelling Ft Campbell meant a quiet Easter inside. It gave me time to whip up these Red Velvet Cake Balls from Bakerella. Delicious. I preferred the white chocolate, ArmyMan liked the dark chocolate. We saved some cake balls without chocolate for Monkey (which were a big hit! portable dessert!). A little bit of heart warming yumminess amidst the stormy skies.

  12. >Thanks for visiting Just One Donna. When I was in Cleveland I had oreo balls. Have you ever had them? They were delicious. I think I'll need to make them and put them on my blog. I haven't made the cake balls yet, either. I've followed Bakerella, but haven't made the cake balls yet.
